The story of a lobby table. A thrill to bring this piece back to life, with a new star burst walnut veneer pattern for its circular top on a concave hexagonal central pedestal. Polished with a mid sheen lacquer over a pre treatment colour to bring the veneer to life and add protection

With the veneer being just 0.6mm in thickness the process of hand cutting and placing each segment is delicate and time consuming, but the satisfaction of seeing the pattern emerge in the end outweighs this. Lighter in overall tone than American black walnut, Spanish or European walnut also know as Butternut is prized for its beautiful character and strong contrasting colour variations. We selected our veneers very carefully and only from FSC certified sustainability sources suppliers.
