Le Chéile Showcases Kenmare's Vibrant Design Community at Kenmare Butter Market
Kenmare, Ireland. June 29th - August 17th
This summer, the scenic town of Kenmare is set to host a spectacular showcase of creative ingenuity at Kenmare Butter Market. Le Chéile, meaning together in Irish, will bring together a diverse array of professional designers & photographers for an immersive mixed media exhibition.
From June 29th to August 17th, locals and visitors alike are invited to experience the fusion of creativity that promises to captivate the senses and ignite the imagination.
Amidst the historic charm of the Butter Market and its centre of town presence, Le Chéile will serve as a vibrant tapestry, woven with the threads of design and expertise. From ceramic artists to graphic designers, architects & interior designers to photographers, furniture and film, this showcase will celebrate the diverse talents residing within our town and beyond.
In addition to the captivating displays, Le Chéile will also feature guest speaker evenings, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with many of the exhibiting designers, industry leaders, gain insights into the creative process, and connect with like-minded individuals. These special events promise to be both informative and inspiring, adding an enriching dimension to the overall showcase experience.
Our opening event is on Sat 29th June at 6:30pm, featuring a live Q&A with award-winning photographer Rich Gilligan. Rich shoots a wide range of commissioned commercial and portraiture projects while continuing to pursue his own personal work, capturing through his unique lens many well-known Irish figures including Cillian Murphy & Saoirse Ronan. His work has been published in many publications including iD, The New York Times, Vogue & Time.
Join us on August 10th at 6:00pm for an engaging interview and Q&A with Paul Galvin on his journey from All Ireland Football Champion to leading Irish Designer.
