French Bedroom Suite
 

We were honoured to be asked to carry our conservation work on some of the original antiques in the Park Hotel Kenmare during the recent room and suite renovations. 

 

In this case a collection of French walnut bedroom furniture made up of a set of bedside lockers, a dressing table and a large three door wardrobe. 

 

We gently cleaned the surface finish, attended to any missing or deteriorated areas, colour correction and hand polished using our very own furniture wax made from Shellac & Beeswax to give a gentle warm lustre and fresh natural scent. 

 

Joop first worked on these pieces in the 1980’s when the Park Hotel originally opened its doors. It is lovely to see these pieces come full circle and get ready for another lease of life in the new vision for the Park Hotel in which Bryan, Tara, Grace, Mark and the entire team are continually curating, and we are delighted to be a small part of this journey.
