Details from our Art Deco Media Unit / Birdseye Maple veneer. Each side pod is splayed at an angle of four degrees portraying from the centre and lending to classical Art Deco styling all while allowing for the storage of vinyl records at a gentle slant. A slightly lowered centre area defines the unit into three sections, this one being created for a record player with amplifiers below. The rounded curves of the media units top surfaces adds a playful tactile element and helps the user connect to the piece. The splayed legs which are intermittently connected gives an illusion of movement and creates breathing space from the unit. Birdseye Maple was chosen as another nod to Art Deco vogue, while providing a wonderfully visual and decadent detail. Finished with a clear lacquer to accentuate the grain detail.
